Ottalaus Salon Wins Salon Today’s Salon of The Year North America in 2022!

wins the prestigious award Salon Today Salon of the Year in 2022 after rigorous qualifiers. This multi-phase salon competition that has entries all across North America includes essays and images that are evaluated by a panel of editors and art directors from Salon Today and Modern Salon.

Each salon is scored in six different décor areas: Use of Color, Lighting, Flooring, Efficient Use of Space, Consistency of Design, and Overall Aesthetics.

Ottalaus Salon has a beauty that stands out above the competition, something Salon Today was quick to note. From the Italian design stylist chairs and massaging shampoo chairs to the tall backlit mirrors, you’re not to find it’s equal in South Jordan, Utah—the salon’s home—let alone in North America. Even the brand colors, ice blue, white, and silver are more than chic, they were carefully selected to reflect owner, AnneMarie Krainich’s Icelandic heritage—which is also the inspiration behind the name Ottalaus (meaning fearless in Icelandic) and add the perfect finishing touch to the overall ambiance of the salon.
