Our Root Revive service is currently being offered at our South Jordan location! This is a luxurious scalp analysis with a customized treatment based on your scan's findings. Our stylist provides two types of scans: the Hair Loss Assessment and the Scalp Health Analysis.

Hair Loss Assessment

Your stylist will scan your scalp in several different areas of your head to get an overall view/grade of the amount of hair loss you experience. The ScalpStory will then use AI to assess if there is any hair loss and how much might be occurring in each of those different areas. It will also identify the number of single, double, and triple hairs from each hair follicle, contributing to overall hair density. After reviewing your scan, your stylist will create the custom treatment.

Scalp Health Analysis

Several images are scanned from an area near the top/back of your head to assess for different needs/concerns. For example, the ScalpStory will look for bacteria numbers, dandruff amount, and oil control, just to list a few! After retrieving the images, AI is used to help analyze the scalp condition and compare your levels to ideal numbers to get an overall reading of the different factors scanned for. From there, your stylist will walk you through any areas of concern.

Root Revive Steps

Consultation to discuss any concerns about your current scalp health.
Your stylist will use the ScalpStory machine to take the pictures/scans needed for the analysis (for both hair loss and scalp health).
Then we will walk you through the results of the scan and discuss any areas of concern that might require extra treatment as well as what can be targeted today.
Travel over to the shampoo bowl where you will receive a completely customized treatment created from the results of the analysis.
Experience relaxation from not just our massaging and reclining shampoo bowl, but also the use of jade combs, steam treatment, and scalp brushing! All are included in the Root Revive service.
After the in-bowl treatment, you’ll head back to the chair to rescan your scalp and assess which areas improved and which will need extra love and care at home.
Finally, the service will be finished off with a luxury blowout and a personalized scalp care plan.

"Can this help with my postpartum hair loss?"

The Hair Loss Assessment and Scalp Health Analysis are a great tool for targeting which areas of your hair that might be thinning due to the hormonal changes of having a baby. With a good plan and the right products, you can help your hair grow and keep your scalp as healthy as possible.

"Do slicked-back styles make my scalp issues worse?"

Unfortunately, yes! Wearing slicked-back styles can create too much tension and strain on your hairline, which can cause Traction Alopecia (a type of hair loss that occurs when hair is repeatedly pulled or put under tension).

"Can I get this treatment done with my extensions?"

Yes, we can still do the treatment on all types of extensions. Our stylist will just ensure there is no tension or slipping of the method used on your hair.

"How long does this service take?"

For shorter hair, around one hour, and for longer hair, an hour and a half.

"Why does scalp care matter?"

Healthy hair starts at the scalp! If you aren't taking good care of your scalp, then your hair has a much harder time trying to grow and remain healthy.
