The ones where the client is draped in different fabric swatches, anxiously trying to figure out whether or not they’re a Warm Autumn. Personally, we’re always amazed at how much the client’s features pop once they start dressing in their “true” color palette. Similar to these Color Analysis services, we as stylists will often recommend—or steer you away from—certain hair colors based on what we know will complement your natural features best.

Eye Color

Blue & Green Eyes: These shades tend to pop more when paired with cooler-toned hair. Picture someone with jet black hair and bright blue eyes—that’s a striking combo! Of course, if that’s not the vibe you’re going for, pairing them with warmer tones can draw attention more softly.

Brown & Hazel Eyes: The most versatile of all. They look fabulous with either warm or cool tones, so it really comes down to your personal preference and dream look.

Classic Rule of Thumb:

A phrase stylists have been saying for YEARS: stay within two shades of your natural color—whether darker or lighter. Why? Because it creates a softer grow-out, making your look lower-maintenance. PLUS, if you ever want to switch things up, the transition will be much easier.
